This is your only option if you want to do business on the internet.

To provide these payment facilities to your customers, you will need to arrange with your bank to issue you with Internet Order Merchant facilities.

Believe it or not, some banks are still hesitant (scared) when it comes to providing customers with Internet Merchant facilities. Some will allow you to have Mail Order and Telephone Order, but not Internet Order.

You may have received junk email about applying for and setting up a US Merchant Account. Don't waste your time.

If you are not a US resident, they will charge you very high percentage and transaction fees and set an unrealistic monthly limit on your account. Merchant Accounts with Australian banks are easier to get, have lower fees and don't usually have any of the restrictions placed on them.
