Options for Manual Credit Card Banking
1. Hand written bank summary.

2. Manually enter the credit card details into an EFTPOS terminal.
- Fees: Normal Merchant Fees PLUS EFTPOS terminal fee.
3. Computerized bank summary.
- Fees: Normal Merchant Fees PLUS cost of software.
Options for Automated Credit Card Banking
1. Bulk posting of credit card
payments to your Banks third party
processors bulletin board (if available).
- Fees: Normal Merchant Fees. Minimum of 100 transactions per
summary.(A fee is charged for less transactions).
2. Real-time, Online processing via third party service provider (a gateway).
- Fees: Normal Merchant Fees PLUS third party service providers fees
(usually a percentage of processed amount PLUS flat fee per
transaction)
It is possible to have your real-time processing done in the U.S. However, to do
this, you are required to establish a U.S business, bank account and merchant facility and
web hosting facility. You also need to take the exchange rate into account. Unless you
have a very high number of transactions, this alternative is probably uneconomical.
